Among those tipping litigation as the main supplier of new jobs, nearly half of respondents (46 per cent) say that these jobs will lie in insurance defence. Some 24 per cent point towards commercial litigation.

Robert Half interviewed 100 lawyers in law firms and 100 in-house lawyers in companies employing at least 1,000 people for its research. After litigation, the next most promising area to work in over the next six months is general business/commercial law - cited by 16 per cent. In third place is regulatory/compliance (seven per cent).
