A&O US senior partner Kevin O’Shea will be joining Milbank alongside fellow real estate partners Erwin Dweck and Yaakov Sheinfeld. Mr O’Shea carries more than 30 years’ experience in real estate lawyer, having joined the Magic Circle firm in New York in 2002 after a 17-year career at Paul Hastings. From 2008 until 2013, he served as managing partner of the firm’s US business before transitioning to senior partner. Mr Dweck and Mr Sheinfeld made partner at A&O in 2011 and 2016 respectively.

Milbank chairman Scott Edelman said of the hire: ‘We’ve been looking for a high-quality real estate team for many, many years and this is one of the top teams in the New York market. We’re very happy with the New York office at the moment, but real estate was one area where we didn’t previously have this kind of offering, so we’re thrilled to have them.’
