Citibank India has announced the arrival of a new general counsel next month. Pramod Rao joins the bank, replacing Sandip Beri who has returned to private practice after three years at the helm. Mr Rao is a founding member of Indian Law firm IndusLaw’s Mumbai office and served as general counsel at ICICI Bank for the last 16 years.
Boston company EnerNOC has appointed Matthew Cushing as its general counsel and vice president. Mr Cushing was previously a partner at Bingham McCutchen where he represented public, private and emerging growth companies. He said he was ‘pleased to join EnerNOC at this exciting time when it is scaling its operations, entering new markets and expanding its product offerings to transform energy management.’ He added that he wanted to ‘help EnerNOC continue to grow from a leader in clean energy into one of the most iconic technology companies in the world.’
Darius Kingsley, the chief of the US Treasury’s Homeownership Preservation Office, is to join Chase as co-general counsel of mortgage banking. He will share responsibilities with Denise DesRosiers. Mr Kingsley oversaw the federal government’s Making Home Affordable Program since 2011, according to Bank Credit News. In a statement Matthew Biben, general counsel for Chase’s community and consumer banking division, said: ‘Darisu and Denise will both play valuable roles in providing strategic and transactional legal support for the Mortgage Banking business.’
