David Dresser joined Poundworld earlier this year and has now hired Bhavin Chauhan from Addleshaw Goddard to assist in running the department, reports The Lawyer newspaper.
Houston-based infrastructure services company Integrated Electrical Services has appointed Gail Makode as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. The Daily Finance web site reports that Ms Makode -- previously general counsel and member of the board at MBIA Insurance Corporation -- will now take responsibility for all legal, compliance, and governance matters. She will report to James Lindstrom, the company's chairman and chief executive officer.
Bradford Berenson has left Washington office of Chicago-based law firm Sidley Austin take an in-house counsel position with General Electric. The Blog of Legal Times reports that Mr Berenson – a former White House associate counsel under George W Bush -- will take the role of vice president and senior counsel for litigation and legal policy.
