The most recent Morningstar professional services ranking guide - released yesterday - reports that Ashurst now advises 25 FTSE250 companies, moving away from Herbert Smith Freehills (24), Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (23) and Linklaters (23).
Magic circle firm Slaughter and May remains dominant in the rankings, advising 42 of the FTSE250.
Aiming high
The guide also found that Pinsent Masons stretched its lead at the top of the AIM league table. The firm now advises 50 clients in that market, ahead of Memory Crystal (45), Carey Olsen (40) and Lawrence Graham (40).
Meanwhile, in the total stock market list, Slaughter and May continued to hold sway in client numbers, while Linklaters led the way in terms of aggregate market value. Pinsent Masons ousted Norton Rose in outright third after a strong showing.
