A survey of 132 senior legal fee-earners by Thomson Reuters found that this point was cited by 44 per cent, followed by lack of time (43 per cent), lack of money (37 per cent) and a lack of necessary knowledge across the practice (36 per cent). James Boocock, general manager of legal solutions at Thomson Reuters, said: ‘The importance of getting [IT] right can’t be over-emphasised… With the right systems in place - for example, sophisticated practice management or workflow solution - huge time and cost savings can be made, freeing up important man hours to spend on a business, not in a business.’ Source: Australian Lawyer
