Walter Kubitz, a senior lawyer in the IP team, attacked the striking down of Florida’s ban on gay marriage as a ‘reckless trashing of morality’ in the firm-wide email. He linked it to a ‘significant increase in sexually transmitted disease over the past few decades, with the gay plague of AIDS being a classic example’.

A member of the firm’s management team, Ken Direkctor, said that ‘immediate and severe’ action had been taken by the firm in response. Former managing partner Alan Becker told the Daily Business Review that it was not clear if Mr Kubitz had intended to send the email to all his colleagues. Source: ABA
