New Orleans: lawyer critically injured

Sanford Kaynor -- a special counsel in the firm’s corporate and securities practice -- was critically injured during the incident last Tuesday, when he attempted to resist the carjacking, reports the ABA Journal.
The attack on the 53-year-old – who joined Jones Walker from Ropes & Gray in 2008 – has led to the arrest of two juveniles, aged 14 and 16, but local police say there is at least one other suspect at-large.
Police commander Bob Bardy told local news television station WGNO that one of the captured teens was wearing an electronic ankle monitoring device, but he did not provide details of the reason for the monitoring.
