The decision was made by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and relates to the making of payments to businesses affected by the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. At the moment payments are blocked but, given the court’s decision, that barrier is now likely to be lifted next week. BP will seek a review of this decision from the Supreme Court.
