The Justice Department conducted an exercise in December in which it sent mock phishing emails to 5,000 staff. Some 37% of them fell for it - compared to an expected five per cent rate for the man in the street. The emails looked genuine and purported to come from government or financial institutions but instead led to a fake (but harmless) website. Since then, two more waves of the exercise have been undertaken and the 37per cent response rate is said to have been cut by about half. Sources: The Star and Macleans
