CC pushes up pay to £1.25m per head for management committee

The 16 members of the Clifford Chance management committee saw their remuneration boosted by 11 per cent in 2013/14 - according to the practice's latest set of accounts.

The pay hike is faster than the seven per cent growth in revenue (up to £1.36b) and the five per cent growth in operating profit (up to £412m). The sum is also markedly greater than the 5.4 per cent rise in staff costs (to £588m). Partner numbers fell by only four to reach a total of 573.
