The New York-based practice is closing its doors six months after Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson decided to close in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The firm now has no offices in Asia. The office was a small one, down to just one lawyer - non equity party Li Hong.

Outward bound work

A spokesperson for the firm said: 'We decided a number of months ago to close our one-lawyer office in Beijing. Our focus has always been on outbound work from China, and it continues to present interesting opportunities for our US and emerging markets practices.' Source: The Lawyer
