Charge out rates for partners rise fastest in Philadelphia

Partner charge out rates on the East coast of the US have been rising fastest in Philadelphia over the last three years, according to research from LexisNexis.

The LexisNexis 'Enterprise Legal Management Trends Report' shows Philadelphia rising by an average of 7.1 per cent in the three years to June last year. Other cities are well-behind. Second-placed Boston has seen a three-year rise of 4.9 per cent, and then Miami is shown rising by 4.5 per cent. New York comes next (4.1 per cent), followed by Chicago (4.0 per cent). IP and trademark laws are the areas which have seen the biggest rise in alternative fees 'over the short and longer term'. Source: Lexis
