The survey of 100 general counsel and other in-house lawyers also found that ‘almost 70 percent worry about potential conflicts and over 40 percent question whether an accounting firm will have the required legal expertise’. On the other hand, some 18 of the general counsel polled had already gone to an accountancy firm for legal advice, usually in relation to tax, and they ‘nearly all’ said they were satisfied with both the service and quality of advice.
