Clifford Chance poaches London life sciences co-head from Olswang

The former co-head of life sciences in Olswang’s own IP team will start work with Clifford Chance’s own London-based corporate practice on Monday 3 October. The appointment will see Mr Reese advising a large range of corporate clients who are increasingly looking for advice on IP matters, working closely alongside the firm’s IP head Vanessa Marsland. At Olswang, Mr Reese’s clients have included Swiss chemicals company Lonza Group, medical manufacturer Boston Scientific and Fujifilm Kyowa Kirin Biologics, for which he provided advice on its joint venture with pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca. Olswang’s global IP practice will be reduced to 16 partner after Mr Reese’s departure, while Clifford Chance’s own London-based IP team will now have five partners.
