Clyde & Co has placed three associates into consultation within the firm’s 40-strong aviation team, though others at the associate level have reportedly been contacted about the possibility of a wider consultation. The cuts come just days after the firm lost a four-partner complex and catastrophic injury team to insurance rival DAC Beachcroft in the City. A spokesperson for Clyde & Co commented: ‘Our market leading UK aviation practice comprises more than 40 legal professionals. Like any business, we are constantly monitoring work levels against our staffing and resourcing needs at all levels and we are currently in consultation with a small number of senior lawyers in the team. As a matter of policy we don’t comment on individuals.’
