In a poll of 2,700 executives, the firm found that companies are still not taking the threat seriously enough and are, in fact, training the wrong kind of staff in the wrong places. Developing markets, where bribery is prevalent, are not being monitored well enough. Businesses have failed to keep up with the kind of advances in regulation which produced the UK’s Bribery Act and similar pieces of legislation elsewhere.
