The survey, from the Association of Corporate Counsel, puts ethics and compliance in the top slot (mentioned by 88% of respondents), followed by regulatory and government changes (83%) and information privacy (79 per cent). Other important issues include IP protection (74 per cent), data breaches and protection (72 per cent), technology developments (62 per cent), management and governance of social media (59 per cent) and M&A (59 per cent). President of the association Vera T Richardson said: 'We find that ethics and compliance issues are not only weighing heavily on the minds of chief legal officers, but also boards of directors and senior management around the world.
