Mr Krivoshekov has been scooped up by Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld’s growing cross border transactions practice in London, while Ms Shanks is joining the M&A team at Proskauer Rose. The pair’s departure comes less than a week after Dentons executed a five-partner raid of Irwin Mitchell’s London real estate team.

A specialist in oil and gas M&A, Mr Krivoshekov has been with Dentons for the last six years and was one the leaders of the firm’s UKMEA private equity practice. A spokesperson from Akin Gump said the hire of Mr Krivoshekov would be ‘instrumental’ to growing the firm’s international energy offering. Ms Shanks’ practice focuses on advising leading private equity sponsors, other investors and funds, financial institutions and management teams. She made partner at Dentons in 2014 after just two years as an associate, having previously worked with Norton Rose Fulbright and US firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.
