Virginia Roberts was a client of Mr Rothstein before he was jailed for a complicated £800m Ponzi scheme. Ms Roberts is currently represented by Bradley Edwards who used to work at Rothstein Rosenfeldt, the law firm set up by Mr Rothstein. Mr Rothstein persuaded investors to give him large amounts of cash to be used in litigation finance schemes and which would deliver high returns. The cases that he mentioned to investors were sex abuse claims involving under age girls. There is no suggestion of any wrong-doing by Mr Edwards.
