Anatoly Kucherena, Mr Snowden's lawyer in Russia, gave an interview which has been published in the Russian media title Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Mr Snowden lives in Russia at the moment. The lawyer suggested that his client is living a quiet and normal life in Moscow, saying: 'He’s not the kind of person who wants to be on television or to be a public figure. He prefers a modest life.'

Peaceful life

Mr Kucherena said that Mr Snowden had been given a three-year residence permit to stay in Russia, starting in August. The lawyer said: 'He’s completely free. I want to emphasize this fact because there are certain rumors about this. No one is restricting him in any way. He can peacefully and freely move about, considering of course the unique complexities of his situation.' Source: RT
