Eversheds has confirmed that Ms Fleming will stay on until early 2017, but will then depart after more than ten years at the firm. Recruited in 2006, Ms Fleming was promoted to the role of finance director in 2009 and assumed the COO title in 2014. Neither Eversheds nor Ms Fleming have yet confirmed her next destination, though a statement from the firm reported that she was ‘not going to a competitor’. Her departure will come just months before incumbent CEO Bryan Hughes finishes his term in May 2017. While current managing partner Lee Ranson has been widely tipped as Mr Hughes' likely successor, it is unclear who will fill Ms Fleming’s chair.
