The Eversheds leadership is actively seeking a merger partner in the US after its partnership voted overwhelmingly in favour of the move.

After the 90 per cent vote in favour, the chief executive Bryan Hughes and chair have visited the US twice and have had talks with firms - although they will not say which. The vote took place in June. Mr Hughes, whose term as chief exectuve is due to finish in 2017, told The Lawyer that the merger might not necessarily have taken place by then. Source: The Lawyer
