Former Hogan Lovells partner nominated as Attorney General

Loretta Lynch, President Barack Obama's nominee for the role of Attorney General, was a partner for nine years in Hogan & Hartson, a predecessor firm of Hogan Lovells.

She left the Washington DC-based firm when President Obama nominated her as Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. She has also worked at New York-based Cahill Gordon & Reindel, where she held her first legal job of litigation associate.
