The group hire will see Mr Boss join Addleshaws alongside former KWM property partner Simon Tager and commercial estate partner Michael Scott. Also defecting to the firm is former KWM real estate managing associate Luke Harvey, who will join Addleshaws as a partner. Together, the group tallies around £5m in accumulative fee earning potential, with Mr Boss the current operational partner for the Crown Estate in relation to its Regent Street Portfolio, which is currently undergoing a review. It is possible that Addleshaws will follow-up the hires by collecting several more real estate associates from the embattled KWM.

Commitment to real estate

Addleshaws head of real estate Leona Ahmed said of the hires: ‘This latest investment is very much a part of our significant commitment to the real estate sector and consistent with Addleshaw Goddard’s wider strategic goals. We have for some time been looking to augment our team and the skills and profile of these partners are massively complimentary to the existing team, as well as bringing new opportunities for the combined group.’ KWM Europe has been hemorrhaging partners since the collapse of a planned £14m recapitalisation and the partnership’s subsequent rejection of a conditional bailout offer from the verein’s China arm.
