Gateley attributes fame to listing on UK exchange

Gateley's chief executive says the firm has become high profile since May, when it became the first publicly traded UK law firm. It also saw its profits rise 11.5 per cent in the year to April, according to its 2014/2015 accounts.

Revenues rose to £60.9m. It advised on over 250 corporate deals during the year. Michael Ward, chief executive of Gately PLC said: 'Clients are having a slightly better time and doing a little bit more.'

He also talked about the media attention that the business has received since it floated on the junior listing in the UK, AIM. He said: 'Pre-Plc we had a low-key profile and post-Plc we couldn’t get any higher.' Source: Evening Standard
