A call for KPIs in legal departments Kentoh

Cecile Kavalses, Chief of Staff, Group Legal & Compliance at Atos, said the legal department needed to have KPIs to be able to measure performance compared with other parts of the company. The question was how the KPIs were calculated and for which areas of work. The call came at an event to discuss the GC Excellence Report.

Also discussed  was the call for law firms to help deal with the request from corporates asked to deliver 'more for less' and the growing interest of legal departments in outsourcing. Law firms also needed to reasses how they were perceived  as general counsel were not impressed by  the 'fancy' big offices occupied by their law firms and were more interested, instead, in better value. The event  'Revolution and the General Counsel - the dawning of a new era'   took place in Paris this week and was held in assocation with Terralex  to coincide with the launch of the GC Excellence Report.
