The alliance will see Gide’s three Hong-Kong based lawyers join the office of local outfit Howse Williams Bowers (HWB). After the move, Gide will retain three offices in the Asia-Pacific Region, in Beijing, Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City.
The team joining HWB includes partner Gilles Cardonnel, senior associate Carmen Che and an assistant. ‘Our Hong Kong practice remains a key element of our China and Asia-wide practice,’ said a statement from Giles published by Asian Legal Business, adding that the firm would continue to service its existing Hong Kong clients through its new partnership with HWB.
