Cayman Islands-based law firm Walkers has expanded its global network with the promotion of 11 lawyers to its partnership across five locations.

The Cayman Islands base had the lion’s share of promotions with seven partners: investment funds specialists Ben Benson, Caroline Heal, Tim Ludford-Thomas and Michael Padarin; Lindsay Luttermann (dispute resolution), Ramesh Maharaj (finance and corporate/investment funds), Richard Munden (finance & corporate).
Marianne Rajic (investment funds) was promoted at the British Virgin Islands office, while in Dublin Noeleen Ruddy (finance & corporate) joined the partnership.
Daniel Wood (finance & corporate/investment funds) in Dubai and Kristen Kwok (finance & corporate) in Hong Kong rounded out the promotions.
Meanwhile, offshore competitors, Bermuda-founded firm Conyers Dill & Pearlman,has expanded its global portfolio with six new hires. Ben Hobden joins Conyers’ Cayman Islands litigation team, while the firm has recruited Ashvan Luckraz in Mauritius, Alexandra Karaganova in Moscow, Patrick Ormond in the British Virgin Islands, and Felicity Lee and Anna Barreira in Hong Kong.
