Slaughter and May and Davis Polk & Wardwell together pick up £9m for their advice on the £24.3bn transaction, one of the largest ever European M&A deals and SoftBank's biggest buy to date. UK-based tech business ARM had turned to Slaughters senior partner Steve Cooke to advise it on the historic takeover, alongside partners Chris McGaffin and Jordan Ellison. They worked with a US team from Davis Polk & Wardwell that included managing partner Tom Reid and partners Reuven Young, John Reynolds and Arthur Burke.

Softbank

On the SoftBank side, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Morrison & Foerster together received £5.5m.
