The president of the Bar Association, Carlos Hercules, said, according to The Sentinel, 'that Government Commissioner Francisco Rene threatens the livelihoods of lawyers when he seeks to persecute an attorney for acts caused by their clients'. The lawyers, supported by judges, are calling for the removal of the Government Commissioner whom they regard as a tool for 'political persecution of the administration's opponents'.
