A Sullivan & Cromwell partner will be threading the red carpet tonight as his film premieres in London’s Leicester Square. Restructuring expert Chris Howard has written the screen play for the star-studded film 'Plastic' which features a wealth of new British talent. 'Plastic' is described as a high octane thriller and involves a credit card scam amongst a ring of university students with a daring jewellery heist which turns sour. The film features Downton Abbey’s Ed Speelers, Hollyoaks actress Emma Rigby, Chronicles of Narnia star Will Poulter and Game of Thrones star and the singer Lily Allen’s brother Alfie Allen.

It is not the first foray into entertainment for the lawyer, who is listed by Gateway Films as a producer. He is also listed as an executive producer on another film 'Outside Bet' where he had a financinig role and as a co-producer of ‘Get Lucky.’ Mr Howard started off his career at Wilde Sapte and later joined Linklaters and Freshfields. After another spell back at Linklaters, he defected to the US firm last year.
