Herbert Smith Freehills is looking to expand its intellectual property offering as it plans to open a new office in Milan with a four strong team from Simmons & Simmons. Leading IP specialist Laura Orlando, who is the head of the Simmons & Simmons dispute resolution and IP team in Italy will join HSF with two associates and a trainee. Ms Orlando was a partner at local firm Trevisan & Cuonzo before she joined Simmons & Simmons. She specialises in contentious and non-contentious IP, specialising in patent and regulatory law in the life sciences sector.
