Shena Hardin, 32, was given the order in Cleveland Municipal Court last week after being caught in the act by the bus driver, who recorded her swerving onto the pavement on several occasions.
The judge also sentanced Ms Hardin to pay $250 in costs and suspended her licence for 30 days, reports Newsnet 5.
Ms Hardin will have to stand at the intersection for an hour during the school rush, with a sign reading: ‘Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus.’
Cleveland Metropolitan School District bus manager Eric Taylor said: ‘We had a very conscientious driver for 30 years. He really cares about his children and he took the extra step that this doesn't happen again.’
