Jones Day has been recruited by administrators FRP Advisory to join the growing list of law firms advising on the administration of failed British retailer BHS. A team led by Jones Day civil litigation partner Sion Richards has been tasked with examining the conduct of BHS’ company directors in the lead-up to its collapse and their roles in the various transactions surrounding the 2015 sale of the company. As an adviser to FRP, Jones Day will be working alongside teams from Weil Gotshal & Manges and DLA Piper already at work on the administration. DLA Piper is providing advice to Duff & Phelps, the original sole administrator for BHS, while Weil is advising the collapsed retailer.
