The merger will increase Kennedys headcount in London by 28 lawyers and lift the firm’s turnover to an estimated £150m per year, up from the £139m reported by Kennedys for 2015/16. The Waltons & Morse team joining Kennedys includes five partners and covers a range of issues relating to marine and shipping industries including insurance, liability and casualty issues, as well as political risk. The combined firm will go live from November this year, with all Waltons & Morse staff expected to have transferred to Kennedys’ London office by the end of 2017.
