As well as the 24 in the People's Republic, another two come from Hong Kong and six are based in Australia. Only four are based in Europe, reflecting the firm's description of itself as being 'the first and only global law firm to be headquartered in Asia'. Of the new Chinese partners, two are in intellectual property, four in capital markets and one in banking and finance. They are spread across six Chinese cities - and include nine in Beijing and six in Shanghai.
