Law firms targeted in pharma hacking scams

Law firms are among the organisations being targeted by hackers trying to gain information which could affect share prices on the pharmaceutical and other sectors.

Cyber security company FireEye says that it has spotted cyber criminals trying to hack over 100 companies, law firms and investment advisers in search of information which would move the markets and affect share prices. The so-called Fin 4 group behind the scam is concentrating in particular on the pharma sector. Two-thirds of its activity is focused there. Fin 4 appears not to be hacking banks, possibly because it believes their protections are too strong.
