While details are not given by the Tennessee Supreme Court, it accepted a conditional guilty plea in an ethics case from Crystal Michelle Goan. However, a judge in a civil case between the couple found that she had installed eBlaster software on her ex’s computer. She was fined US$10,000 for this - and another US$10,000 relating to broader allegations, including the alteration of documents on his computer.

Documents

Her ex-husband, James Roy Klumb, alleged that she altered documents to make it look as if he were having an affair. The magistrate in the case believed that she did this as a way of increasing the money Mr Klumb would have to pay in settlement - if it could be suggested that he had committed adultery.

Last chapter

A public relations firm issued a release on her behalf. It said: ‘Ms. Goan now considers the matter to be concluded. It serves as the last chapter of a long and troubled divorce proceeding from years ago. She is continuing a successful practice of law with offices in both Hawkins and Greene County. She is looking forward to devoting her free time to her daughter and family. Ms. Goan will have no further comment on the matter.’ Source: ABA
