A personal sense of authenticity and autonomy is the most contributory factor to lawyers' happiness, according to a study. Lawyers crave work which is meaningful and challenging and want to know they are doing well in their jobs. They also like to work with people they like as well as having a sense of belonging. The research was part of a programme carried out by the Georgia State University School of Law looking at happiness and wellbeing.  Professor Charity Scott said that achieving wellness was not just about finding work-life balance. 'One of the big signals of well-being is your connection to others,' she said.
