The Dallas Business Journal says that the sector in Texas, particularly in Dallas-Fort Worth, 'sizzled in 2014 as out-of-state firms jockeyed to grab a slice of the legal pie and firms from here fought to hang on to their share and grow'.

The trend shows no sign of ending as local lawyers say they are still receiving inquiries from 'major firms' wanting to recruit and open up in the area. Dallas has become one of the world's hubs - alongside Aberdeen in Scotland - for the energy sector. Source: Dallas Business Journal
