Pinsent Masons has been appointed legal mentor to the Techx Pioneer programme based at the Oil & Gas Technology Centre in Aberdeen. In an 'intense' 16-week programme, Pinsent Masons’ energy and commercial teams in Aberdeen will provide Techx pioneers with advice on company structures, directors’ responsibilities, contract law, intellectual property and legal updates relevant to young startup enterprises.

The Techx accelerator and incubator aims to help the next generation of oil and gas entrepreneurs take new technologies and systems to market faster. Over the next ten years, it will invest in more than 100 start-ups and some 200 SMES to help realise the full potential of the UK North Sea and anchor a new technology supply chain across the region.
