Five entrepreneurs, none of them lawyers, have created a business, Defence Hub, which they say will revolutionise the crime market after it is launched in the UK in late January. Defence Hub predicts that it will have a revenue of £50m in its first year. It has begun recruiting a team of 120 crime lawyers and will also work with law firms throughout the country. In recruiting law firms to partner with, it is promising a 21.6 per cent return on the casework they carry out. It is understood to have been investing heavily in IT.
