Northwestern law school targets IT departments

Northwestern University School of Law is launching what it believes to be a first, a one-year Master of Science in Law (MSL) for technology professionals.

NWU will offer a Master of Science in Law degree Thomas Barrat

The course seeks to serve the growing number of big technology businesses that need formally educated executives who are knowledgeable in law and able to give leadership on legal issues. Emerson Tiller, senior associate dean of Northwestern said: 'Technical people increasingly have seats at the business table, and more and more of them are being called upon to lead -- to sit at the head of the table. The MSL program will give these individuals the skill sets to communicate, direct and lead more effectively.'  Source: Gaebler
