Partner profits fall at Clifford Chance as results shrink back from peak

After a record set of results a year ago, the Magic Circle practice has seen profits per equity partner fall two per cent in 2014/15 on top of a 0.7 per cent fall in turnover.

Despite the falls, the results are still the firm's second best set of figures ever - with turnover posted at £1.35b. Results were quite different in different parts of the world. Growth in turnover was seven per cent in the Asia Pacific region, but only one per cent in continental Europe. In the UK and North and South America, growth was recorded at two per cent. The firm has also announced that it will no longer have an office in Ukraine. Source: The Lawyer
