Partnership loses allure for younger lawyers

In its '21st Century Law Firm: Inheriting a new world' survey of 1,800 young lawyers worldwide, the international firm Eversheds  found that 39 per cent  feel the partnership model is out of keeping with the current century. While the majority, 68 per cent, want to become partners that drops to 65 per cent among 26 to 30 year olds. Men - 77 per cent  - are more likely to be aiming for partnership than women - 57 per cent. Among the 26 to 30-year olds only just over half (56 per cent) want to be working in a law firm in ten years time. Source: National Post
