The programme is intended to provide a stream of homegrown lawyers to the area. The first four trainees were all recruited in the UK, although they have links to the Middle East. Sachin Kerur, head of Pinsents in the Gulf area, said: ‘This region is a growing part of our international business and to capitalise on the significant opportunities it is likely to present in the years ahead, we fully understand the need to invest in and develop local talent, including Emirati and Qatari nationals.’
