A quartet of lawyers in Paris have banded together to launch independent business law firm CLOVER, focusing on M&A, private wealth tax and digital transformation.
The founders are IT, innovation and data partner Laura Dufresne, corporate M&A partners Camille Pedrini and Emile Troboul, and personal and private wealth tax partner Samuel Levy.
The firm’s corporate M&A practice will advise on external growth transactions, business transfers, financing, structuring and litigation, while the tax practice will support clients at every stage of their professional and private wealth lifecycle, including compensation structuring and alignment between personal and business assets. The IT practice will advise clients on a range of digital and tech transformation projects, as well as data and cybersecurity matters. It will advise companies, directors and investors in France and internationally.
In a statement, the partners said: “We founded CLOVER with a clear conviction: the law is both a tool for protection and an instrument for action. Our ambition is to help our clients make the right decisions by building with them a relationship grounded in trust, human values and uncompromising professional standards.”
Dufresne was previously a partner at Squair, prior to which she practised at Oyat, Latournerie-Wolfrom and Courtois Lebel. Her practice focuses on advising companies on IT and digital-related matters, including contracts, AI governance and data regulation compliance.
Pedrini joins after previously founding her own firm Adventure Avocats. She also had spells at Ollyns, Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, Viguié Schmidt & Associés, DLA Piper and Eversheds Sutherland. Her practice focus on M&A, private equity and corporate law matters, including governance issues and pre-litigation work in shareholder disputes.
Like Pedrini, Troboul and Levy previously founded their own firm, Majuscule Avocats. Troboul also practised at Viguié Schmidt & Associés, Bova Partners and Brandford Griffith. He advises on corporate M&A, including both transactional and litigation work.
Prior to co-founding Majuscule, Levy practised at LCE Avocats, Bornhauser, DJP Avocats and Deloitte Avocats. His practice focuses on personal and private wealth taxation, including international mobility strategies and wealth structuring.
Earlier this month, Japanese firm Anderson Mori & Tomotsune announced plans to open in Paris as an associated office with MTS Law Office, which was founded in 2022 by former Anderson Mori associate Manami Toyota Sirvent.
