Ms Box has been named managing partner of Reed Smith in Europe and the Middle East as part of a management shake-up that has divided the role of former Europe, Middle East and Asia managing partner Roger Parker. Ms Box will be steering the course of Reed Smith’s offices in Europe as well as its practices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, while Mr Parker focuses his attention on the newly created role of managing partner for Asia as the firms looks to expand its presence in the region. During his tenure as Europe, Middle East and Asia managing partner, Mr Parker grew the firm’s Asia practice by 150 lawyers and oversaw launches in Singapore, Shanghai and Astana. Ms Box has worked closely alongside Mr Parker since her arrival at Reed Smith from Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2010, with the pair linking up to launch the firm’s Frankfurt office last year through a large-scale lateral recruitment drive.
