Alexander Nadimitov, who co- founded the firm in 2008, told London’s The Lawyer newspaper: ‘The agreement will allow us to effectively represent the interests of Russian clients in Finland, and Finnish companies in Russia.’ He went on to say the co-operation deal would benefit from the input of ‘one of the leading Finnish financial lawyers, Mika Lehtimäki’.
Trade links
Attorney-at-Law Trust was created when Mr Lehtimäki left Finnish firm Magnusson Helsinki nearly a year ago. Mr Lehtimäki has 12 years’ experience of working on Finnish and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as financial transactions in the wider Nordic region and Russia.
Mr Nadmitov, along with co-founder Alexey Ivanov and corporate and finance partner Sergey Lapin will also become associated partners of Attorney-at-Law Trust.
The firms hope the connection will take advantage of the strong trade links between Russia and Finland, and the growing demand from Nordic and Baltic companies to operate in the Russian market.
